Why I've Stopped Chasing the "Best" AI Model
Why I stopped chasing the "best" AI model and started focusing on building frameworks that last—regardless of which platform is winning this week.
I've probably watched enough "Best AI of the Month" videos to earn a certificate.
Seriously.
Every time a new AI model launches, the internet seems convinced everything just changed. One week everyone's talking about ChatGPT. Then Claude. Then Gemini. Then Grok. Then another model arrives that supposedly changes everything.
I've caught myself doing it too.
Reading comparisons. Watching YouTube videos. Trying every new release. Just when I thought I had picked my favorite model... another one showed up.
It feels like AI gets a new world champion every Tuesday.
The Realization That Changed Everything
The more I work with AI, the more I've noticed something.
The businesses making real progress aren't winning because they picked the "right" model. They're winning because they built systems that work regardless of which AI they're using.
Think about it.
Every few weeks, prices change. Rankings change. New features appear. Yesterday's "best AI" becomes ordinary. Trying to build your business around one model becomes exhausting.
I eventually discovered that chasing the "best" AI is a game you never win. There's always something newer. Always something faster. Always something with better benchmarks.
But here's what doesn't change...
What Actually Lasts
Your experience.
Your voice.
Your way of solving problems.
Your customer relationships.
Your systems.
Your process.
Your judgment.
Those are the things AI cannot replace. Those are the assets worth building.
I've started thinking about AI differently. Instead of asking "Which model is best?" I ask "Does this fit into my workflow?"
Building for Portability
One thing I've realized is the importance of building workflows that aren't dependent on one platform.
If another AI becomes better next month... great. I simply plug it into the workflow. I don't rebuild everything.
It's like changing the engine without rebuilding the car. Or changing the chef without rewriting the recipe. The framework stays the same. Only the tool changes.
This mindset shift changed how I think about AI completely.
What I've Been Building
I've been experimenting with something called the Rapid Content Method.
I'm not going to explain the whole framework here. But I will tell you why I built it.
I wanted a way to work with AI that focused on simplicity. On clarity. On consistency. On preserving my own voice. On creating repeatable workflows that work across multiple AI platforms.
RCM isn't about which AI model you use. It's about how you think about using AI.
And that difference matters more than I expected.
Why Frameworks Beat Tools
I've noticed that the people who seem least stressed about AI are the ones who have a system.
They don't panic when a new model launches. They don't feel like they're falling behind. They simply evaluate: "Does this fit my framework?"
If yes, they try it. If no, they keep moving.
The AI model I'm using today may change. But the framework I build around it is what will continue creating value.

I still get sucked into the hype every time a new one drops lol. but I like that idea of not having to rebuild everything.
honestly feels like there’s a new AI every week. building a good system does sound smarter than always switching.
