What Happens After Someone Clicks?
You worked hard to get their attention. Don't lose them now. Learn the 10-Second Test to fix your customer journey.
You finally got the click.
Someone saw your post.
They were interested.
They clicked.
Great!
Now what?
Where did you send them?
And when they got there... did they know what to do next?
The Problem Nobody Talks About
Entrepreneurs spend a lot of time trying to get attention.
More views. More followers. More traffic. More clicks.
But here's the thing nobody tells you:
Getting the click isn't the finish line.
Sometimes we work so hard to GET attention that we forget to think about what happens AFTER we get it.
Here's what that looks like in real life:
Someone sees your Facebook post. They click. Your website gives them 12 different choices. They leave.
Someone watches your YouTube video. They click your link. They go to a page. Then an email. Then another website. Then they're asked to create another login.
At some point they think: "Never mind."
Your customer shouldn't need a map, three passwords and a YouTube tutorial just to figure out what to do next.
One Click. One Clear Next Step.
This doesn't mean your webpage can only have one button.
It means every piece of content should have one MAIN action you want someone to take next.
Think about it:
After reading a post... what next?
After watching a video... what next?
After reading an article... what next?
After downloading a resource... what next?
Don't make people guess.
The 10-Second Test
Here's the most important thing you'll do today.
Go to the page where you send most people.
Pretend you've never seen your business before.
Look at it for about 10 seconds.
Then answer these three questions:
1. Where am I? Can a new visitor quickly understand what this business or page is about?
2. What's here for me? Can they quickly see why they should care?
3. What should I do next? Is the next step obvious?
If any of those answers are unclear... the visitor may be confused too.
You don't need to rebuild your whole business. Just fix ONE confusing step first.
The Simple Customer Journey
A customer journey is just the path someone takes from:
"Who are you?" → "I trust you." → "How can you help me?"
Here's the simple version:
Discover → Learn → Connect → Trust → Buy → Stay
Notice that last step: Stay.
The relationship doesn't have to end when someone buys. Great businesses give customers a reason to stay connected.
The Real Lesson
Sometimes you don't need more traffic.
You need to do a better job with the traffic you already have.
Before spending more time trying to get another 1,000 visitors... make sure the people already clicking know what to do next.
The clicks you're already getting might be worth more than you think.
