Milestones, Music & Missed Opportunities

This weekend was one for the books.

We celebrated my hubby’s 60th birthday in true southern style—with a feast fit for a king, live music, and a whole lot of good old-fashioned socializing. 🥳

The menu? A seafood boil, smoked brisket, juicy burgers, grilled chicken, and all the fixin’s. If your mouth isn't watering, I’m not describing it right.,,, and don't forget the "Cake & Ice Cream"!!!

We had over 30+ family members and friends come out to celebrate this milestone. There was laughter, stories, hugs, and even a few happy tears. It was one of those nights that reminded you how special it is to pause and appreciate life—and the people who show up to celebrate it with you.

But… not everyone showed.

There were a few friends we really expected to see. The kind of friends that say “we wouldn’t miss it for the world!” — and then, well… they missed it.

And it got me thinking.

How many times do people say they want something — a milestone, a win, a breakthrough in their business — and then miss it because they just didn’t show up?

They think they’ll catch the next one. They think they’ll “get around to it.” But sometimes, there is no next one. The opportunity, the moment, the momentum — it moves on.

Online business works the same way. The people who are showing up, taking action, and surrounding themselves with support… they’re building momentum and celebrating milestones.

The ones who sit back, wait, or second-guess? They miss out.

So if you’ve been hanging on the sidelines, waiting for the “perfect time” or thinking you’ll jump in later…

Alright, I’ve been holding out on y’all just a little. 😅

Most of you know I run a local newsletter — and honestly, it’s become one of my favorite little side passions. Think of it as a hobby that pays me to stay connected with my community, support small businesses, and sprinkle a little local love online.

But lately?
