V#84 EDITION ~ September 28, 2026 |
There is something funny happening with technology right now. |

Just about the time we finally figure out how to use a tool... someone releases another one.
Then that tool adds AI.
Then the AI gets an agent.
Then apparently the agent gets a job and starts running half the business. LOL
Meanwhile, we're sitting there thinking: "Didn't I JUST learn how to use the last thing?"
Here's what I'm noticing.
AI agents are handling entire workflows now. People are questioning Google. Businesses want to own their tech instead of renting it. New content tools pop up every few weeks.
The ground is moving fast.
But it made me think about something.
We've spent years learning platforms, software, tricks and buttons.
But the tools keep changing.
Some disappear. Some get replaced. Some become unnecessary because AI can suddenly do the job.
And THAT creates an interesting question: If the tool disappears tomorrow... what do you still know how to do? Not which button to click. What do you actually KNOW?
This week's article is about exactly that. Let's get into it. |

OpenAI is retiring Custom GPTs on December 11, 2026. I built one for my Rapid Content Method course and now I'm figuring out what comes next. The bigger lesson: Do you own the method or only the container you put it in? Read More... |

Final Thoughts |
The tools are going to keep changing.... |
That isn't the problem.
The danger is building your entire business around knowing how to operate ONE tool instead of understanding the METHOD behind what that tool is helping you accomplish.
Don't just learn an email platform. Understand how to communicate with an audience.
Don't just learn ChatGPT. Understand how to ask better questions and think through problems.
Don't just learn a funnel builder. Understand the customer journey.
The tools will change. They always do. But the method? The understanding? That stays with you.
Here's my challenge this week: Look at one important tool you depend on. Ask yourself: "If this disappeared tomorrow, do I understand the METHOD well enough to replace it?"
If yes, great. You're building on bedrock. If no, THAT may be worth learning.
Tools give you leverage.
Understanding gives you staying power.
Until Next week...
